Evaluating Neurocognitive Complications of Pediatric Type 1 Diabetes
Understanding risk and protective factors to support children's cognitive health and development
About Our Research
Our Mission
The Neuro-Peds T1D Consortium is dedicated to advancing our understanding of how Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) affects the developing brain in children.
Our Approach
By building a diverse, longitudinal cohort of pediatric patients newly diagnosed with T1D, as well as healthy pediatric controls, our research aims to explore the neurocognitive and psychosocial impacts of T1D.
Research Focus
We are focused on identifying key risk and protective factors that influence neurocognitive outcomes and evaluating the potential role of diabetes management technologies in supporting children's cognitive health.
Join Us
Join us in shaping the future of pediatric diabetes care and brain development research. Together, we can make a lasting impact on children's lives.
